This fall, 478 second-grade students at 16 area elementary school are learning about saving through a curriculum supplement, “Saving With Mandy and Randy.”

First Interstate Bank has received an “outstanding” rating by the Federal Reserve Bank for its efforts in serving low- and moderate-income communities.
The FRB examines First Interstate’s community reinvestment program every two years as part of the federal Community Reinvestment Act. Only 15.8 percent of FRB banks achieve an outstanding rating. The “outstanding” rating means that First Interstate Bank has an excellent distribution of loans among low- and moderate-income areas and people, has been responsive to the convenience and service needs of its communities and has actively invested in community and economic revitalization efforts in its service area.
Cellular One recently presented donation checks in the amount of $4,600 to 16 Montana schools that received funds through the School Donation Program. This program offers all Cellular One customers the opportunity to donate 3 percent of their monthly cell phone bill to a Montana school of their choice. Montana schools that received donations for the third quarter include Billings West High School, Skyview High School, Twin Bridges High School, Choteau 7-12, CM Russell High School, Lincoln Elementary, Loy Elementary, Whittier Elementary, Fort Shaw Elementary, Great Falls High School, Simms High School, Fairfield High School, Capital High School, Hillcrest School, Flathead High School and Helena Flats Elementary School.
