Looking for a fun way to spend your time and money this weekend or into the next week? Here are some top picks from The Gazette's Cathy Ulrich and Jaci Webb.

Cathy's pick

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays, except it is always too cold to wear the cute fairy costume I covet! So I'll be dressed as the snow queen in a lot of fake fur and mittens, and checking out Boo at the Zoo. (Yes, partly because of my weakness for events that rhyme.) From 1 to 6 p.m., you can enjoy crafts, games, cookie decorating and the "Kooky Treat Trail." The event is free for children in costumes and ZooMontana members; $6 for adult nonmembers. For information, call 652-8100.

Enjoy Projectile Comedy's new digs over at Q's Lounge at the Carlin. The Billings comedy group makes its debut at the Montana Avenue venue Thursday at 8 p.m. If you've never seen the comics behind Projectile, now is a good chance to marvel at their quick wit when they perform improvisational comedy. Admission is $5. Get there early if you want a seat; their shows over at Alley Kats often sold out.
