The Full Gospel Revival Tabernacle in Billings is the host church for the 17th annual Thanksgiving Convention, which is based at the Holiday Inn Grand Montana.
On Thursday, the Rev. Elwood “Woody” Brien leads a service at 7 p.m. There are free Christian gospel concerts during the services at 7 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. on Nov. 28. The speakers are Jay Cummins, pastor and singer from Poplar, on Friday, and Pastor Bernard “Hoss” Jack from Sinteluta, Saskatchewan, on Nov. 28.
Gospel singers include Maynard Lavallie, Jessica and Joanne Jack, Iris Main Has the Eagle, Gary Bird and Choir, Anita Bull Chief, Linda Birdinground, Wesley Stops, Kim Brien, Franklin Jefferson and more. The house band members are Marlin Black Eagle, Duane and Bear Bull Chief, Dwayne Birdinground and Dean Goodluck.
Women in Ministry sessions on Friday are at 1 p.m., led by Pastor Kim Brien, and at 2:30 p.m., led by the Rev. Joanne Jack.
On Nov. 28, there is a no-host breakfast with evangelist Maynard Lavallie from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is also children’s church and a nursery during events on Thursday through Nov. 28.
On Nov. 29, services move to the Full Gospel Revival Tabernacle, at 3307 Third Ave. N. Evangelist Maynard Lavallie of Gillette, Wyo., speaks at 11 a.m. and Bernard “Hoss” Jack is the pastor for the 7 p.m. service.
