MISSOULA - A Seattle man has been sentenced to 13 months in prison for his role in dealing cocaine in Montana.

Geoffrey H. Dodd, 28, pleaded guilty in July. He was sentenced Friday at the Missoula federal courthouse.

The case began in 2006 when Billings police intercepted a package at the Greyhound bus depot there that contained 246 grams of marijuana. The package was delivered by an undercover officer to its intended recipient in Bozeman, and that person told police he regularly distributed marijuana for Dodd. Over the next several months, the informant received cocaine from Dodd.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Missouri River Drug Task Force.
