CLINTON - A 16-year-old Spokane girl is dead after an ATV accident near Clinton, Mont.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the teen was driving the ATV with a 15-year-old male passenger when she lost control, hit a tree and went down a 20-foot embankment.

The boy was able to walk for help. He was taken by ambulance and the girl was taken by life-flight to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries.

The names of the teens have not been released.
