One man died and another was sent to the hospital in a two-vehicle crash south of Lame Deer on Friday morning.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper John Nickelson said that at 11:40 a.m., a 1991 Honda Accord attempted to turn north onto Route 4 from Ashland-Birney Road, about 20 miles south of Lame Deer. When it attempted to turn, the Honda collided with a 1985 Chevrolet Blazer that was southbound on Route 4.
The driver of the Honda, whose name, age and hometown have not been released, died from injuries suffered in the crash, Nickelson said. The passenger in the Honda, a male whose name has not been released, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Lame Deer.
The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet did not appear to have suffered any injuries, Nickelson said.
