KALISPELL - Flathead County officials have identified a Whitefish man killed during a Fourth of July boating accident on Flathead Lake.

Deputy Coroner Dorothy Brower says 27-year-old Travis Wickum and his wife were in a boat that was struck by another boat. The collision happened at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, about three miles east of Lakeside.

His wife was injured, but no information on her condition was available.

The state Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks continues to investigate the accident.
