The Boulder-Arrowhead/Big Sky 11-12-year-old girls softball team from Billings won the state tournament and competed in the Little League Western Regional. The Boulder Arrowhead/Big Sky 11-12-year-old girls softball team of Billings notched a 5-3 win over Lewiston, Idaho, on Wednesday in the Little League Western Regional tournament.
The win improves the BABS team to 1-1 in the tournament, which is being played in Vancouver, Wash. The BABS team was scheduled to meet Mesa, Ariz., on Wednesday and will face Burbank, Calif., on Friday.
In the Little League Junior Boys (age 13-14) Western Regional in Aliso Viejo, Calif., the Heights National team of Billings was defeated 7-0 by Yakima, Wash., in its opening game on Tuesday.
The Heights team was scheduled to face Scottsdale, Ariz., on Wednesday and will face Juneau, Alaska, today.
