Five players scored in double figures as Montana State Billings overwhelmed visiting Montana-Western 88-58 Friday night in women's exhibition basketball.
The Yellowjackets finish their exhibition schedule with a game at Rocky Mountain College Tuesday.
MSUB shot 58 percent from the field in the first half and led 47-19 by halftime.
"Overall, I thought we did a nice job tonight,'' said Yellowjacket head coach Kevin Woodin. "But we know that we need to keep working hard in practice to improve. I was pleased with our team work and intensity in the first half and the way we battled on the boards. Our defensive communication was solid and we had a lot of people who contributed. Our balance was critical to our success and I liked the way our players shared the basketball.''
Sophomore forward Callie Kautzmann led the Yellowjackets with 17 points, while sophomore guard Kalli Stanhope tossed in 16. Stanhope, of Glendive, had four of MSUB's 11 3-pointers. Kautzmann also had five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Sarah McNamee added 13 points for the Yellowjackets, while Shantel Marquis and Ashley Reed had 10 each. Reed also had a team-high eight rebounds.
Nicole Tams led the Bulldogs with 15 points, while Kristen Luedtke added 12.
