Billings Senior's attempt to win a fifth consecutive Class AA volleyball title begins in earnest tonight when the Broncs play host to Butte in an Eastern AA playoff match.

The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Senior gym, and the winner advances to the State AA tournament set for Nov. 12-14 in Bozeman.

The four-time defending champion Broncs finished 20-9 in the regular season and 6-6 in the conference, which earned them the third seed. No. 6-seeded Butte finished 7-15 and 3-9.

Senior is 2-0 this season against the Bulldogs, having won 25-19, 25-11, 25-18 at home on Sept. 18. The Broncs needed five games in the next meeting at Butte, edging out the Bulldogs 25-18, 25-16, 21-25, 11-25, 15-11 on Oct. 15.
